Don Giovanni Have introduced their ‘Stay Safe, Feel Loved’ campaign, which runs from Monday – Friday throughout October.
Since their reopening in July, Don Gio has welcomed their consistent flow of loyal diners with friendly faces, delicious Italian dishes and plenty of red wine (and has been busy pretty much every night!).
Filled with long-awaited catch-ups and date nights galore, diners have been made to feel at ease knowing that they can relax in Don Giovanni’s completely safe and attentive company.
Aiming to reduce the loneliness of isolation and tighter restrictions, the new initiative from Manchester’s oldest independent Italian is here to stay throughout the full month and includes a whopping 50% OFF the entire A La Carte Menu!
We’re all used to the usual safety protocols by now – hand sani stations, floor arrows, one way systems, well-spaced tables and of course mask-wearing.
Well Don Gio’s certainly have this nailed, and surprisingly, it doesn’t feel much different to before!
Non-intrusive, welcoming, safety-first dining, it’s always the best from the Italian’s.
The talented chefs over at Don Giovanni make most of their ingredients fresh every day, including their ravioli, gnocchi, bread, pizza dough and a number of their delicious desserts.
Here’s what’s on the menu this month…
INSALATA DI PROSCIUTTO, FICHI E MOZZARELLA
A deliciously fresh and sweet combination of Parma ham and buffalo mozzarella. Topped with figs, poached peach, rocket and walnuts and drizzled in a honey and lemon dressing.
Because sometimes classic is best. Parma ham, rocket & parmesan shavings top this deliciously crisp sourdough pizza. Pick it up, fold it in half, but whatever you do – don’t use your knife and fork, that’s just weird. (Also comes on a gluten-free base!)
TAGLIOLINI AL GRANCHIO
You’re going to want to try the pasta at Manchester’s Oldest Italian, that’s just a given, right? A stunning combination of fresh Cornish crab, cherry tomatoes and cream, all mixed in with freshly prepared tagliolini. Lovely.
SPAGHETTI NERO DI SEPPIA
Made with their iconic black squid ink spaghetti, this dish looks and tastes bloody fantastic. Cooked in a white wine sauce, it’s then topped with fresh mussels and king prawns for the ultimate seafood pasta experience. Treat yourself!
FETTUCCINE AL LIMONE E PREZZEMOLO
Fettuccine pasta drizzled in a creamy lemon-butter sauce topped with fresh chopped parsley and pine nuts. Deliziosa!
RAVIOLI NERI AL GRANCHIO
Homemade ravioli crab with cherry tomatoes in a butter sauce. Made with their famed squid-ink pasta.
RAVIOLI DI SPINACI
There’s plenty of veggie options to choose from at Don Giovanni, but this has to be my favourite. Ricotta and spinach, topped with a butter and sage sauce – It’s. So. Good.
To drink, you’ll find PLENTY of choices by the glass or bottle.
Always going that little bit further, Don Giovanni also offers their wine selection using the Coravin preservation system (which allows posh wines to be served by the glass without pulling the cork!) so there’s no hefty price tag here.
Running throughout October, all you need to do is book through the website for a maximum of 6 people and you’ll get your 50% OFF food when the bill comes at the end. They will be adding supplements to their premium (steak and lobster) dishes – but that’s only fair really.
