Unless you were one of the very lucky few to eat at Higher Ground at KAMPUS before we went into lockdown, you won’t have had the chance to try one of their outstanding ‘Beef Madrasty‘ pastries.
Well, Lee & Tim were a couple of those lucky people, and in fact, Lee went back for more when he ordered a 29 Minute Meal from Higher Ground during lockdown – here’s what they had to say about the famed BEEF MADRASTY…
Lee: “I’d heard very good things and its safe to say if I had to pick a Higher Ground signature dish, it would have to be this.”
Tim: “They had me at curry pasty, but this thing is much greater than the some of its parts. Simply put it’s worth booking a table for this one alone, I only wish we’d got three each…”
Basically a spiced beef pasty with madras gravy, these things have been making waves throughout the city – with everyone and anyone looking to get their hands on one (or three). Me most of all.
Well, this week is Higher Ground’s ‘Madrasty Week‘ so they’ve added more places around the city where you can get your hands on one.
Not only is it being offered in their brilliant Home Delivery service, but they’ve teamed up with Companio Bakery in Ancoats to provide individual Madrasty’s for takeaway. All you need to do is go to their online shop, order one before midnight on Wednesday and then pick it up on Friday.
Be prepared to fall in love.
