Manchester’s independent cinema and arts venue HOME has announced its schedule of new screenings, theatre and shows for 2024, including a nod to the legendary Hacienda.

The former black-and-yellow Manchester music institution will be at the forefront with Blowout, a date with anarchic live band Mr. Wilson’s Second Liners, before the launch event of pioneering Hacienda stalwart DJ Paulette’s memoir Welcome to the Club.

On 24 January, the Second Liners host a night at HOME, with dance music paying homage to the heady days of 90s club culture, as well as an opportunity to hear new arrangements for the first time.

The following day (25 January), DJ Paulette will celebrate the launch of her new book with an in-conversation event.

Joined by Jamz Supernova, she will chat about her incredible career, exploring her ascension to the heights of the music industry, as well as the challenges she has faced.

Meanwhile, a new production From England With Love arrives at HOME on 6, 7 and 8 June, with internationally acclaimed artistic director Hofesh Shechter.

Renowned for work that crosses art forms, the performance explores the heart of England through music and dance.

The forthcoming season will also include an explosion of new talent too – We’re All Just Wasps In Glass Houses is the culmination of a year-long programme with the HOME Young Company, and will happen on 19 and 20 April.

Dave Moutrey, Director and CEO of HOME, said: “This is a season for all the emotions, with audiences invited to experience impactful and bold performances, balanced with intimate and subtle moments.

“We are thrilled to be working with such an incredible range of artists, performers, writers and creatives and excited to see them bring their stories to our audiences at HOME.”
