Yesterday, the UK’s longest indoor snow slope, Chill Factore, opened its doors to pooches seeking some respite from the scorching summer sun

The heatwave may have been eagerly anticipated by Manchester and the rest of the UK after so many weeks of bleak weather, but for many pet owners, it’s a time for concern as they want to ensure their much-loved pups don’t overheat.

The RSPCA has recently issued a warning that not long is too long for a dog to be left in a car in this heat and are urging dog owners to be mindful of their canine friends’ welfare in hot weather.

Back by popular demand, yesterday Chill Factore hosted special doggy chill sessions, where dogs and their owners came to play in the real snow and cool down away from the warm summer weather.

Chill Factore also invited guests to make a £5 donation to Manchester and Cheshire Dogs’ Home for every dog that attended.

Kept at a cool -3 to -5 degrees, Chill Factore was the paw-fect place for furry friends to take a break from the heat.
