Lunya’s owners Peter and Elain Kinsella source artisan produce and cuisine direct from Spain with suppliers they’ve built relationships over time. Their menus are inspired by their latest food adventures, this summer’s menu is due to their travels over Catalonia and Spain.

Dishes are best served with a drink from Lunya’s incredible collection including 130 Spanish wines, 26 gins, great Spanish beer’s and more.

We sampled their new summer menu and picked 4 favourite dishes:

Belly Pork – a traditional ‘Mar i Muntanya’, a Catalan dish similar to surf and turf. Pork is slow cooked in a langoustine bisque with samphire and dressed with a red prawn.

Seafood Fideua – A traditional Catalan Fish Pasta Dish, made with Fideo noodles, squid ink, calamari and mild red chillies – a special taste of Catalan cooking perfect for summer.

Courgette and Garrotxa Frituras –  a wonderful summer grazing dish, light fluffy fritters made with Catalan goat’s cheese and minted yoghurt.

Colifor – roasted cauliflower florets, dusted with Zahtar spices, pickled shallots and Marcona almond satay, sprinkled with coriander. This is the perfect Middle Eastern-Spanish infusion of ingredients and cookery. Perfect with Lunyans fine Macabeo white.

Lanyan’s other dishes include Suquet (Catalan fish stew), Vegetable Fideua (summer vegetables and Catalan noodles), Bacalao (pan-fried salt cod) and Iberico Pork Ribs (served in a tamarind and fennel BBQ sauce).

The summer menu promises to be the perfect summer-kiss and taste of Spain right here in Manchester.
