The massive Manchester Craft Beer Festival is back at Mayfield Depot for 2023 and has announced the award-winning Stockport Foodie Friday as its festival food partner. We’ve got a special discounted rate for Finest readers, scroll down for details.

Manchester’s biggest beer event – the only one of its kind to have all beer covered in the ticket price – will be pouring beers from all over the world at Mayfield Depot from 21-22 July.

This year, the food stalls at the festivals will be in good hands. Stockport’s monthly Foodie Friday festival is bringing a raft of local food traders to the hoppy party that is Manchester Craft Beer Festival

The food traders that will be lining your stomach in style before you work your way around the hundreds of beer taps with your little festival-branded glass are:

  • Just Gyros – chicken and feta stuffed pittas
  • Tapas Altrincham – freshly made paella and steak kebab flatbreads
  • Halloumination – loaded halloumi fries and halloumi burgers
  • Chilli’s Indian – Indian keema or veggie wraps, samosas and bhajis
  • Marley’s Tacos – cheesy, pulled birria beef or jackfruit tacos with dipping gravy and signature salsa

The layout of this year’s festival will also change, bringing Stockport Foodie Friday vendors inside Mayfield Depot closer to the main pouring area. There will be a larger space outside for enjoying your food and drink in the sun (fingers crossed) and organisers say this will improve the flow of the festival – hopefully making it easier to get around the stalls and try all the beers you want to.

Manchester Craft Beer Festival organisers We Are Beer say they are committed to providing “the best beer from across the world, great food to match and a fun and inclusive atmosphere with a bit of music and dancing to bring it all home”.

In the run-up to the festival keep an eye out for more details including music announcements, special festival preview events across the city and a one of a kind festival beer launch.

Manchester Craft Beer Festival founder Greg Wells said: “Food is such an important part of our festival – we love seeing festival goers having a great time eating, tasting and enjoying brilliant dishes from talented local chefs and producers. Working with Stockport Foodie Friday was an opportunity we grabbed with both hands – they share the same approach to good times as us, and what they’re doing in Stockport is amazing – unbelievable scenes each month. Can’t wait to bring that to the heart of MCBF.”

Stockport Foodie Friday founder John Barratt said: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with the Manchester Craft Beer Festival bringing our Foodie Friday good time vibes and award-winning food offers from Stockport to Manchester with love.”

Manchester Craft Beer Festival 2023 will take place at Depot Mayfield on Baring Street M1 2PY. There are three sessions across the weekend, 6pm to 11pm on Friday 21 July, 11.30am to 4.30pm and 6pm to 11pm on Saturday 22 July 2022.

Tickets include entry to the festival, festival pours of any beer from any brewer, a full music line up, access to the people that make the beer themselves and a free beer tasting glass. We’ll see you there.
