Looking to offer “the best live music experience in the UK”, Co-op Live is going to be the country’s biggest indoor arena when it opens, boasting a 23,500 person capacity and a whole host of cutting edge features and spaces.

The building will boast a smart ‘bowl’ design, cutting edge visual technology, incredible acoustics and great bars, lounges, restaurants, suites and club spaces, hosting an eclectic range of events from sports, live music and comedy gigs, to award shows and family entertainment.

Located down at the Ethiad Campus, it’s hoped that the venue will be ready to open in 2023 – a next generation arena that is purpose built for live music – meaning that they can deliver “world-leading fan experiences before, during and after events”.

The venue will double the number of events in the city, and it’s been designed to be sustainable, with it’s own rainwater usage system, and zero waste.

As well as the large area bowl, Co-op Live will also offer a range of intimate spaces such as the Atrium, The Record Room, Co-op Backstage Bar, the Hangouts, Night Market, and others.
