Victoria Baths are preparing to reopen their doors for the first time in over 6 months.
Opening with a bang, their Festive Winter Fair will take place over two weekends (Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 November and Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 November).
Victoria Baths, the vast Grade II listed building, is the perfect venue for the safe and socially distanced winter fair.
2019 Winter Fair
The fair will be open each day from 10.30am – 4.40pm and will feature over 30 stalls of independent traders.
We can expect a fantastic variety of art, jewellery, ceramic and homewares plus plenty of festive decorations up for grabs.
After the devastating news that the 2020 Manchester Christmas Markets will be cancelled, the Festive Winter Fair will provide many independent traders with the chance to set up shop and gain exposure.
2019 Winter Fair
Each trader has been handpicked by the Events team over at the Bath’s, and is set to feature the finest high-quality Manchester makers.
We’re told there will be a stall from Victoria Baths themselves, which will have a focus on the building and its history with everything from stocking fillers to fine art.
We can also expect festive cheer from the Bath’s Tea Room, which will be serving up plenty of mulled wine and mince pies.
Run fully by the team’s award-winning volunteers, be sure that you will feel looked after and completely safe when stopping for a warm drink and a chat.
Victoria Baths, known for its beautiful original tiles and stained glass features throughout, will be transformed into a cosy, socially distanced, winter haven for the event.
The stunning decor will create the ideal backdrop to all the maker’s stalls and there’s plenty of space for people to go exploring (including the Turkish Baths suite and two of the former swimming pools).

“Victoria Baths is incredibly lucky to have had such amazing support over the years, from those who campaigned to save this building right through to those who’ve helped us to face the many challenges of 2020. This event will be an opportunity for those who love Victoria Baths as much as we do to enjoy spending some time in one of Manchester’s favourite buildings.”
Expect timed entry tickets, capped visitor numbers, signposted one-way routes, hand sani stations, masked friendly volunteer ushers and more to make visitors feel safe and at ease when enjoying the fair.
All the money raised from Victoria Baths’ events helps to keep this beautiful building open for everyone to enjoy.
