There's set to be a new garden in the NQ and it looks stunning!

The space currently on Dale Street is a little... horrible at the moment.

Set directly across from the Finest office, the small patch of land with some unfortunate looking bricks, benches and the occasional tent is quite an eye sore.

Not only do you find a fair few unscrupulous characters knocking about, there’s also an actual den that’s been secretly built in one of the bushes – serving as a make-shift meeting point for many of the city’s vagabonds.

So, it comes as great news to learn that Pen Studios, working with the fantastic Chapter One Books next to the space, have come up with plans to completely landscape and improve the area.

It will become a fully landscaped area featuring extensive planting, seating for 80 people, a children’s play area, and a Victorian-style glasshouse, which could potentially house a florist.

Existing trees will be retained on the plot while further planting will be introduced throughout. The outdoor area will be open to the public, as well as residents of the apartments on the upper floors of Chatsworth House.

Even though the person who created the CGI renditions of what it will look like seems to have gone a little bit too far with the plants and twinkles, there’s no denying that it looks stunning and is a significant improvement on its current state.
