Vietnamese on a Double Decker Bus, Oke Poké, Thessaloniki Greek & loads more as Hatch expand their food offering

Now an award-winning globally-inspired foodie haven and retail space, Hatch phase 2.0 is set to triple in size with 10 new food stalls and 15 new retail spots!

Hatch’s double-decker shipping containers are set to be changing continuously throughout summer to ensure every time you go you have a unique experience.

The all exciting new retail line-up which will launch from June 17th and include…

Number 8 
A summer garden cocktail bar sees two containers decked out with warm festoon lighting and fresh greenery. Number 8 is set to be a day-time hangout and a lively bar by night separated across two floors. The welcoming ground floor will have music from Manchester’s best DJs whilst the roof terrace is a peaceful retreat to watch the whole of Hatch below.

 

The Kitchen
A new Greek-inspired Thessaloniki restaurant taking over 3 shipping containers to bring a taste of Thessaloniki street food to Manchester. Diners can expect authentic Thessaloniki ingredients and artisan products from the UK served in a unique menu including Greek-style tacos, Koulouri (sesame bagels with various fillings) and Loukamades (traditional Greek doughnuts).

 

Oke Poké
A takeaway kiosk container serving healthy traditional Hawaiian street food. Poké is often called a deconstructed sushi bowl with raw fish and vegetables and makes a great alternative to salads. All of Oke Poké’s dishes are served in biodegradable containers, using sustainable fish, free range chicken, and the highest possible quality ingredients.

 

Fukuu
A new Pan Asian food brand for Manchester with key ingredients sourced directly from Japan and fresh meat, vegetables and fish locally sourced from quality suppliers. Diners can expect classics like Chicken Katsu curry with fries and alternative inventions by owner Anna, like a Katsu Burger on a brioche bun and Japanese Scotch eggs! Customers can expect Pan Asian classics like Chicken Katsu curry served with fries alongside Anna’s own inventions including Japanese scotch eggs as well as Katsu Burger on Brioche Buns.

 

Ice Alchemists
Handcrafted ice cream created ‘live’ on frozen ice-pans in less than 2 minutes to create a delicate roll of ice cream. The creative theatre-style ice cream parlour will also be serving up Bubble Waffles, Milkshakes and Homemade Cakes all served with 100% biodegradable tubs and spoons.

 

Beer Box
Currently only found in Newcastle upon Tyne, Beer Box is an independent brewer of craft beer and one-stop shop city centre craft beer shop perfect for beer lovers.

 

Choc
Indulge with The Northern Chocolate Company’s newest boutique at Hatch. Chocolate is served in a variety of bars, wrapped in bespoke designs from local artists and creatives. There’s also a selection of chocolate truffles, chocolate coated nuts, dates and hot chocolate. The shop is a joint venture of hospitality entrepreneur Michael Currie and local creative agency Holdens, combining their expertise and shared love of choc to design and create high-quality, indulgent products.

 

Herbivorous
Vegan street food specialist, Herbivorous, is founded by two enthusiastic foodies Robyn and Damian. They are serving up a hybrid of junk food and healthier dishes and their signature dish Hoisin ‘Duck’ wrap with triple cooked chips loaded with pulled BBQ Jackfruit, Chipotle Mayo & Spring onions. Expect the menu to change regularly to keep the plant-based eatery exciting!

 

Mezze
A father/daughter duo bringing a taste of Cyprian food to Hatch. Mezze dishes will be served in a Turkish/Greek mash-up serving up perfectly cooked meats, seasoned rice and fresh salads, fresh mezze boxes, mezze wraps and salads. Mezze’s ethos is ‘any excuse for a party’, customers can expect regular ‘any excuse events‘ including ‘Any excuse for Lahmacun’ (Turkish pizza), ‘Any excuse for halloumi’ and ‘Any excuse for belly dancing’.

 

vin-yard wine bar + shop
An eclectic mix of wines by the glass or bottle serving affordable alternatives to the usual mass-produced wine. Customers can expect vegan, organic, natural and biodynamic wines to drink in or take away. The wine retreat is perfect for settling in for the night or taking your perfect tipple home for the evening.

 

Hanoi 75
A Vietnamese kitchen serving up a creative menu of cuisine from Vietnam’s capital infused with other Southeast Asian influences. Expect fresh, fast Vietnamese sandwiches to take away, enjoy on their fabulously bedecked bus or anywhere at Hatch.

 

These new traders will be joining Hatch’s existing food and drink stalwarts Electrik Box, Takk, Ol Nano Brewer & Bar, Get Chucked and T’Arricrii.
