Whalley Range’s answer to a one-stop-shop for all things craft beer recently launched their Liquor Store.

It probably won’t come as a surprise to you to hear the government u-turned on their decision to allow places to do takeaway booze. Originally, we’d have had to rely on the massive supermarket chains to help keep us watered through the lockdown.

Luckily, the rules have now been confirmed that venues can sell booze to take away and it’s great news for all the local independents who would have wasted hundreds on fresh, delicious and not to mention drinkable stock.

The Hillary Step’s Liquor Store means we can get our hands on the good beer, none of that frosty commercial rubbish. They’ve got the real stuff. From ales to IPAs and plenty of liquids in between.

From cult classic brands like Pomona Island, Squawk to Red Willow to the classic Mancunian staple, Manchester Union Lager.

There’s even the delicious grapefruit Schofferhofer that’s a lip-smacking taste of summer if you want to forget all about the impending c-word and encompassing winter months.

They’ve also got fresh cask beer and from the keg too so you don’t have to miss out on a nice draught pint from the comfort and safety of your very own living room.

The special containers will keep it fresh for up to 24 hours if you’re a slow and polite drinker and don’t gobble it up as soon as you get home.

If your indecisive brain can’t pick from all the wondrous choices, there are weekly changing Top 10, handpicked by the staff who all know a thing or two about booze. It also definitely would make for the perfect Christmas gift for all those beer lovers in your life!

For those of you who prefer your tipple to come from the almighty grape, there are currently nine bottles to choose from that cover all bases and will keep everyone in your household very happy.

There’s even a delicious Orange wine (Alphabox & Dice Golden Mullet Fury Semillon Viognier) a vintage wine with aromas of guava and butterscotch that is well worth all the hype orange wine gets.

Shoppers can receive free local delivery on orders over £20 and there’s a nice offer on at the moment too – the first 15 people to order on delivery via Good Eats will receive a free can in their order too. You can’t complain about that, can you!

If you’re closer or heading out on your daily allowed walk, you can click & collect any time they are open, between 4 and 7pm on Wednesday through to Saturday.

Find out more on their socials or order directly through Good Eats here.
