One of Manchester’s most popular Indian restaurants, Zouk is hosting a black tie dining event next month to raise money for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital

The evening will see the restaurant prepare an exclusive five-course menu of traditional Indian dishes, alongside drinks and entertainment all in aid of the RMCH. Tickets are £50 per person, with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity.

One of the UK’s largest and busiest children’s hospitals, the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital provides specialist care for young people across the city. Its hospital holds 371 peadiatric beds and a further 60 neonatal cots also operate within the same building, enabling staff to deliver completely joined up services for families, from prenatal care through birth and beyond.

At the black tie gala event, guests can expect live entertainment from musicians and traditional Indian dancers, as well as auction prizes to be won, goodie bags to take home and a sensational five-course feast with all food and drink included in the ticket price.

Making up the menu of traditional Indian delicacies is a number of appetisers and starters, including Popadoms and Pickles, Seekh Kebabs, Samosa Chaat and a Mango Salad. These smaller plates will be given on arrival, alongside Pan Puri shots and a welcome cocktail.

Guests will then get the chance to enjoy some lighter bites before tucking into either a Lamb Laziz, Butter Chicken, Dall Makhani or Lamb Biryani and Raita, which will all be served alongside pilau rice and freshly baked naan breads as part of the main course.

Finishing the evening off is a Mumbai Mess dessert – an Indian spin on the staple English Eton Mess – as well as coffees and chai served with traditional Indian Barfi.

Zouk, along with its sponsors, will be providing the venue, entertainment, food and drinks for free, ensuring that every penny spent on tickets goes directly to the charity.

Aiming to host more charity fundraising events, Zouk owners also took part in the RMCH Abseil on Sunday 25th September in which they rose over £900 for RMCH.
