The event, which launches on the 26th November and runs until 2nd January, comes from the same team behind the sell-out Scare City.
Hosted at the former Soccer Dome space next door to the Trafford Centre, there’ll be a long list of seasonal activities and adventures to get stuck into.
A huge drive-in cinema will be showing classic films and forms part of a wider immersive Christmas Village, complete with live actors, surprises and Santa Claus himself.
The events will be split up into two categories; naughty for the adults and nice for families and children.
Those partaking in the ‘naughty’ screenings will be able to watch movies such as The Holiday, Bad Santa, Die Hard and Love Actually, in a perfect immersive experience for couples and groups of friends.
The ‘nice’ screenings, alternatively, are perfect for families and children, with films including Home Alone, The Polar Express, Elf, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and many more. Children will also be able to post their own letters to Father Christmas in the Christmas City post-box and explore the North Pole from the safety of their cars.
This year’s festivities will partner with Hits Radio Cash for Kids Mission Christmas. The initiative aims to make Christmas Day different for children and young people living in poverty across Greater Manchester.
Visitors are being asked, if they can, to bring a new, unwrapped gift suitable for 0-18 year-olds, which will be passed on to a child to open on the 25th of December.
Jessica Rigby, Charity Manager said: “We’re just a small team of three at Hits Radio Cash for Kids with a big dream to bring Christmas joy to thousands of children living in poverty across Greater Manchester.
“We will once again be asking the wonderful people of Manchester to kindly donate a gift or make a cash donation so we can ensure no child in our city is forgotten about this Christmas. Mission Christmas is so much more than just a gift; it’s giving hope, showing we care, and allowing children to still believe in the magic of Christmas.”
