Reckon you’re tough enough to take on the city’s infamous Scuttlers gangs? Gang Roulette, which will take place at Lion’s Den in Great Northern Warehouse from the 13th – 31st July, might just give you the answers you’re looking for.
The audience will be plunged into the story as a crowd of 1930’s gangsters descend on Manchester for a winner-takes-all immersive experience of booze, fighting and gambling!
Joined by a team of incredible actors, the story begins in 1930’s Britain as all the leaders are heading up to Manchester for a very important meeting. With a room now full of these intimidating characters, mixed with booze and gambling, too, it’s no surprise that underlying tensions rise to the surface!
Manic Immersive, the theatre company behind Gang Roulette, are putting the storyline in the hands of the audience and soon to be gangsters, to decide how it should end. With plenty of drama and unexpected surprises, Gang Roulette is sure to be an unforgettable, heart-racing experience.
Gang Roulette’s creator, Alex Forman, said: “Anyone who enjoys the glamorous but deadly world of 1930s British gangsters will love Gang Roulette. Unlike what you see on the TV, this gives you the chance to interact with colourful gang characters, through our brilliant actors. In fact you can decide which gang you want to join and decide how the story ends!
He continued: “We’re very proud to be part of this year’s Manchester Fringe but if all goes well I hope that Gangster Roulette will take over Manchester on a permanent basis. Let’s see how these would-be gangsters do.”
There’ll also be an onsite bar serving drinks before the production, as there’s nothing better than a bit of Dutch courage!
Tickets are £15 and there are three shows that will run daily from the 13th – 31st July.
