Byrne, who was given his first Michelin Star at the age of 22, ran the kitchen at Manchester House when it opened in 2013 and also owns Church Green pub in Lymm.
The pub, situated on the corner of Blackfriars Road and Trinity Way is in the heart of a growing residential area, also home to much loved venues like The Eagle Inn and Blueprint Studios.
The development is the brainchild of Simon Ismail and BetFred’s Fred Done, who was named Residential Property Personality of the Year at Insider’s 2020 North West Residential Property Awards earlier this week.
The pub will use all three existing floors, fully restored and incorporate a new single-level glazed building to the side.
“We always envisioned a new and exciting use for this historic pub and getting Aiden on board demonstrates our commitment to delivering the very best – whether it’s new homes or a new restaurant.” – Simon Ismail
The pub will be decorated traditionally, complete with wood panelling and the open fires from the original building. The dining will be casual with an open kitchen to bring in modernity.
On the first floor will be an intimate fine dining restaurant of about 20-25 covers served by a kitchen on the third floor with the potential for a chef’s table.
Plans are due to be submitted early next month with an opening slated for late summer.
