Spanning four decades of iconic music history in Manchester, Spirit Studios is an independent Higher Education provider specialising in Music Production, Electronic Music and Sound Engineering, and this Saturday 4th September they’ll be opening their doors for an in-person Open Day.
Spirit began life as a commercial recording studio in the Northern Quarter 1980, with their small rehearsal rooms and studio being used by many of the city’s most famous bands, including The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Simply Red and loads more.
They soon became the very first Audio Engineering School in the UK, and have, over the years, continued to nurture the next generation of producers and engineers. This weekend, Spirit Studios will be opening its doors to potential students to take a look around their unmatched facilities, learn more about their courses and get stuck into course-specific workshops, listening sessions and live demonstrations.
Spirit’s state-of-the-art facilities now include 11 studios, on-site live venue, DJ booths, editing suites, project studio, plus a huge range of microphones, instruments & equipment.
The Open Day will also give people the chance to WIN over £1000 worth of prizes, including 1x iZotope Music Production Suite 4, 1 xArturia V Collection 8 and 1x Audient Evo Start Recording Bundle. There will also be potential savings on selected course fees.
