Factory International’s The Welcome - what to see at the cultural hub’s new festival

Factory International’s The Welcome launches this weekend at Aviva Studios, a festival for Manchester, by Manchester.

For over two years, a group of local people have been devising the programme of the festival as part of the opening of the cultural hub – first by the Manchester International Festival, and then Danny Boyle and Boy Blue dance show Free Your Mind.

Now it’s time for The Welcome, which over nine days at Aviva Studios will encompass everything from afro-beat circus performance, photography exhibitions, art installations, street culture and live music.
