Try and convince me of anything better than a good old mooch around a market on a Saturday afternoon.

Manchester Craft & Flea will delight fellow hoarders, vintage fanatics and street food aficionados and it’s back at the Cathedral next Saturday 30th July – complete with an abundance of the city’s very best local traders.

From 10pm – 4pm next weekend, you’ll be able to shop vintage trinkets, handmade homewares, sustainable fashion and pretty much everything in-between from Manchester-based independent business babes.

Previous markets have also featured workshops set up by traders in which you could learn how to create your own individual creations using their practises – so look out for something similar being announced in the lead up to next Saturday’s event.

Craft & Flea began as a new spin on the famous ‘Makers Markets’ that spill out across the city throughout the year. You’ll usually find them popping up in Northern Quarter, Media City, Urmston, West Didsbury and Great Northern.

What’s different about the Craft & Flea I hear you ask? Well, the market is slightly more ‘curated’ than the Makers Markets, with each trader handpicked by the organisers that aim to get a good mix of talented designers, illustrators, producers and collectors all with their own unique, quality and on-trend products.

It doesn’t define itself as a craft or flea market, but a great mixture of local talents and exclusive finds. The organisers are always on the lookout for new traders for future events, too, and you can apply for a stand via the Craft & Flea’s website here.

Table top stands cost £50, 6ft by 6ft stands are £70 and 12ft x 6ft stands are priced at £110.

Tickets for all events are £2.50 and under 12s also go free! Door will open for the event next Saturday at 10am and you’ll be able to rummage around for unique goodies all the way through until 4pm.
