Kiosk in Media City is set to host its latest exhibition – “MC Culture” – featuring the work of Manchester-based photographer Richard Kelly. The exhibition, which launches on Thursday 27 April at 6pm and runs until Sunday 23 May, showcases a series of portraits capturing the essence of the city’s urban music scene.

MC Culture highlights MCs from the Fallowfield and Moss Side areas, including Chunky, KSR, Jack Banner, Chimpo, and many more who make up Manchester’s vibrant music culture.

Richard Kelly, an acclaimed music photographer with an impressive portfolio shooting icons like Amy Winehouse, Arctic Monkeys, and Pete Doherty, as well as fashion campaigns for Fred Perry and Dr. Martens, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. “I wanted to document what I consider to be an important aspect of Manchester’s music scene and think it ties in really well with Kiosk, itself an innovative space and one which will be a celebration of local talent,” he said.

The MC Culture exhibition aims to attract visitors from all over the city to enjoy the images, music, and a few drinks. With free entry via an Eventbrite invite, this event offers an opportunity to celebrate and appreciate Manchester’s thriving urban music scene.
