There’s nothing quite like spending a bank holiday weekend watching live music with your mates, and this year, two of this parish’s finest are providing the soundtrack.

Manchester heavyweights New Order and Stockport boys Blossoms headline two huge nights at Wythenshawe Park on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 August. And music fans can now get a combined ticket for both shows, at a cheaper price.

Blossoms

Following the success of Noel Gallagher’s show last year – the first event of its kind at Wythenshawe Park – the Saturday night marks the Blue Monday hitmakers’ first homecoming show since 2021.

Support for New Order comes in the form of their good pal and fellow legend Johnny Marr as well as adopted Manc Róisin Murphy, Nadine Shah, Kyris and DJ Tintin.

The following day, Blossoms will perform the biggest headline show of their career, joined on the bill by Irish indie mob Inhaler and Britpop favourites Shed Seven, as well as upcoming indie outfits The K’s, Seb Lowe, TTRRUUCES and The Guest List. Tom, Josh, Charlie, Myles and Joe celebrate the release of their forthcoming fifth studio album Gary, out on Friday 20 September.

And now for the best bit. There’s no need to choose between the two days, as the bands have teamed up to offer an all-new combined ticket for both shows. Fans can enjoy the festival atmosphere across the weekend for only £40 per day – that works out at just over £6 per act. Bargain.
