The Manchester Concert Orchestra are bringing the incredible music of Hans Zimmer and John Williams to life this Christmas, performing the composers’ epic scores with a full orchestra.
The Music of Zimmer and Williams will celebrate the very best of the greatest film composers of all time, including standout tracks from movies including E.T, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park and Star Wars.
The concert is part of the hall’s festive programme of events, which also includes The Music of Lord of the Rings and Beyond, another concert not to be missed by movie buffs.
You’ll be able to experience tracks from Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, as well as compositions from Game of Thrones and loads more, reimagined by a full symphony orchestra and accompanied by a choir.
Elsewhere on the Bridgewater’s winter bill, Horrible Histories presents festive family treat Horrible Christmas.
From Victorian villains to Medieval monks, Puritan parties to Tudor treats, the show is an adventure through the history of Christmas in the company of historic characters including Charles Dickens, Oliver Cromwell, King Henry VIII and Saint Nicholas.
For a more traditional affair, the venue will also host their annual Christmas Carol Singalong.
Lead by Jonathan Cohen, sing along to the very best festive tunes and seasonal classics, all in the stunning surroundings of The Bridgewater Hall.
