New to Hope Road in Sale is Krafthaus Studio & Store, a creative hub bursting with cool and funky homewares and gifts, and also offering creative workshops such as lampshade making, candle making, and many more crafts and skills.
The brains behind the concept is Salford artist Holly Ramsey, owner of ‘The Neighbourhood Threat‘, a design studio and maker of creative colour-popping, charismatic, and nostalgically cool kitchenware and textiles. Holly has positioned her studio at the back of the new store – making the move from Salford – with the shop out the front.
“I’ve been running market stall for years and working from my little studio in Salford”, Holly explains, “but the studio building is getting demolished next year, so I took the plunge and moved my business to Sale and gained a little retail outlet so I can sell my products as I make them.”
The store sells a diverse selection of homemade and artisan homewares and gifts, alongside coffee from Salford micro-roasters Swan Song, and bespoke home decor services. Holly adds; “We specialise in all sorts of fun and quirky products from cushions and lamps to greeting cards and bags.”
Krafthaus will also be hosting a range of craft workshops with things kicking off in August with a Candle Making Workshop hosted by Mons Calpe, followed by a Lampshade Making Workshop run by Holly herself.
