The scorching weather is set to continue for the next few days so Escape to Freight Island are opening up the doors on a hump day.

They’ll be open from 5pm this Wednesday 16th September until midnight for all your alfresco dining and sun-seeking needs.

With such good weather, Freight Island will be hosting the truly sublime Holdens & Co – serving up a secret family ice cream recipe from their little ice cream bike. Perfect for cooling down.

As we all know, pints taste dangerously better in the sun, luckily Camden Town Brewery are on hand for some delicious frosty pints for you to glug down at your (sensible) pleasure.

This might be your last chance of the year to enjoy some serious sun and heat, as the nights draw in sooner and those pesky rain clouds start to take hold. Sure, it’s nice sitting out with a heater and some warm gloves but nothing beats beers, burgers, ice creams and the sunshine.

There will also be Patty Queen Burgers available and Voodoo Ray will be serving up massive pizzas.

Indulge with beers, burgers, slices and sundaes al fresco style all on the platform this mini heatwave – you deserve it!
