This Tuesday 1st December sees Z-Arts host a Lyrics and Songwriting Masterclass alongside Pop Roberts from lovescene and Berry Blacc.
The masterclass is for those who already have experience and understanding of writing lyrics but want to take their skills to the next level. Pops & Berry Blacc are two artists who understand the world of wordplay and verse, and they’ll be sharing their tips, tricks and techniques on how they craft their lyrics.
Pops Roberts is a DJ, producer and vocalist who fronts Mancunian band lovescene. With years of experience working in the music industry as an artist & songwriter, Pops has a wealth of knowledge ready to pass on. As a music educator she has worked across the country and internationally and has worked extensively in Manchester with Z-arts & Brighter Sound. She also co-founded the Marcus Intalex Music Foundation.
Berry Blacc is a Manchester born rapper and vocalist known for his clever wordplay and versatility. Berry has released music with Manchester heavyweights The Mouse Outfit & Werkha, and released his own self produced album ‘From Maia’ in 2018.
The masterclass will also be an opportunity for you to share your work with the artists and get advice on how to develop your style. Whether you are a rapper, singer or something else, having access to the combined knowledge of these two amazing artists would benefit any artist.
The masterclass will take place over Zoom on Tuesday 1st December between 4pm – 7pm, and is absolutely free (but places are limited).
