It’s won more awards than Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks put together.

There are puppets, there’s sex, there’s racism, there’s internet porn and loads of swearing. It’s Avenue Q people and it’s coming to the Palace Theatre from Monday 21st October.

In case you’ve never heard of it, think of Avenue Q as a sort of musical theatre version of Sesame Street but with a lot more swearing and much more adult themes. You’ll learn plenty of lessons – just maybe not the lessons you thought you would.

Winner of the Tony “Triple Crown” for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Avenue Q is the story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q.

He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it’s clear that this is not your ordinary neighbourhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

The show is on for a week – Monday 21st – Saturday 29th October. Don’t miss it!
