La Bandera, Manchester’s award-winning Spanish restaurant has launched two Christmas set menus available to be enjoyed until the end of the Winter season.
Coinciding with the launch of the Christmas markets, La Bandera is a haven hidden away just off King Street, great for culminating a festive day out. The two new menus are available for groups of 6 people or more, and cost either £39 or £45 per person.
Both menus are centred around tapas, food for sharing and socialising over, that combine traditional Spanish recipes with a cosy Christmas interior.
On the £39 set menu, guests will be able to choose from starters including; Mixed Artisan Bread, and a board featuring black olive tapenade, roasted veggies, smoked salmon, goats cheese with paprika and chicken liver pate.
For the mains, a selection of Spanish small plates will be provided such as, Gambas Plancha (fresh king prawns), Ensaladilla Rusa, Pintxo Moruno (mini chicken skewers), slow cooked pig cheek, patatas bravas, and La Bandera’s famous chef’s croquettes.
For the £45 menu, the starters offer the same, however the main menu is bigger and features huge plates of the restaurant’s home cooked paella.
Made the traditional way in huge pans, all paellas are freshly cooked and made to order. On the Christmas menu you’ll find the Mar y Montaña paella, which is loaded with meat and shellfish.
Other dishes include Chorizo A La Sidra, Calamares, Garbanzos con espinacas which is a slow-cooked spinach stew and fresh king prawns grilled with olive oil. Desserts can also be added to both menus for just an additional £3 per person.
