And that mission is to “86 the silence“, in other words – provide education, events, training and activities on all aspects of mental, physical and financial health inside of the hospitality industry.

Working with hospitality focused individuals, businesses, groups and organisations along with renowned experts from the fields of Mental Health, Nutrition, Exercise, Finance and beyond.

“86” in a restaurant typically means that an item is no longer available, and so by “86(ing) the silence” So Lets Talk aim to bring the stigma and silence about mental health in the hospitality industry to an end.

This weekend, to raise awareness and resources for the cause, a crack team of industry leaders are aet to compete in a walk, scaling 24 peaks in 24 hours in the Lake District.

They’ll be walking up to 12 hours a day to complete it, walking up some seriously difficult hills and pushing the boundaries, both physically and mentally whilst raising the awareness of the mental , physical and financial health of those in hospitality.

You can help the cause by heading over to the So Lets Talk JustGiving Page and donating what you can…
