Seriously, there is not a single thing not to love about the place. First up, the drinks menu is impeccable. It doesn’t matter if you are after a frosty pint of beer, a fine Canarian wine or an expertly crafted cocktail- they have it all.
I had the pleasure of sampling their White Chocolate Espresso Martini this week too- which I was utterly smitten with. It is the perfect thing to round off a meal when you can choose between coffee or dessert.
Speaking of meals, the food is divine. You can sample a range of authentic Spanish tapas with a creative Canarian twist, or more substantial dishes if you don’t feel like sharing. I cannot be in the vicinity of the restaurant without the burning desire to tuck into a plate of their Jamon Iberico or Pan con Tomate.
And that’s just the start of it. I’m slowly working my way through the entire menu- but a few highlights so far are the Carrilleras de bacalao (cod cheeks), Chorizo in red wine and the Bistec de Ternera (steak with truffle sauce).
I also hear that their menu change is imminent- so watch this space for more information on that.
I adore the place, and I encourage you to get down there as soon as possible. If my word isn’t enough for you, I’ve managed to wangle a special offer exclusively for Finest readers. You can enjoy 30% off your food at La Bandera when you book online or on the phone quoting ‘LB30MF’.
