I’m sure I’m not the only one who rushes home as soon as the clock strikes 5 pm. After 8+ hours in the office with all my colleagues, the traffic noise and general metropolitan chaos that is central Manchester – I just want to get home
But when I say ‘Home’ I don’t want you to think I’m heading home, putting on a Monster’s Inc. onesie and watching Love Actually for the third time this week like some sort of LOSER. What I really mean is I want to go home to my neighbourhood.
Luckily for me, I live in West Didsbury, which means I am within stumbling distance of Volta at all times, and when I finish work, I am always gasping for a drink there.
Luckily for me and all the other town-intolerant trendies, I can call neighbours, Volta has an epic happy hour deal to keep us occupied.
The 5 O’clock drop kicks off at 5 pm (funnily enough) and runs until 7 pm Monday through until Friday.
During this magnificent trio of hours, you can get any cocktail for £5, a glass of house wine for £5 while you can bag a bottle of house wine for just a tenner. Most importantly, you can get bottles of Prosecco for £15 – which I certainly like the sound of.
Of course, you can tuck into a few of their delicious small plates while you are there – which I thoroughly recommend you do.
See, you don’t have to put up with the hustle and bustle of town for a good happy hour – the suburbs are where it is at!
