Every single month, week and day on the calendar is some sort of ‘Awareness Day’.
There’s a National Doughnut Week (May 7th – 15th), (May) and International Museums Day (18th May), and May is actually Zombie Awareness Month – so be aware please.
Today is Friday 13th May and it’s World Cocktail Day and so Salford’s Black Friar pub have a cracking offer to celebrate. They’re offering their new signature cocktails for just £5 for the entire weekend – ending Sunday 15th May.
Their Signature Cocktail menu features such delights as THE BLACK FRIAR with Tanqueray 10, Benedictine, ginger, lemon tea, lemon and violet foam, and the HOLY NEGRONI with vodka infused with cherries, Dom Benedictine, Martini bitter + Martini Rubino.
There’s also a couple of Salford-related numbers such as the SACRED HEART OF SALFORD with peach-infused el Jimadior tequila, Disaronno, cranberry, ginger + lime and a twist on the Espresso Martini, THE SALFORD DOCK made using Salford rum, vanilla liqueur, coffee and caramel syrup.
