Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May will seen Albert’s Schloss re-open their doors with a special pop-up shop, serving biers, brews and baked goods, with all proceeds going directly to their hospitality brothers and sisters at Eat Well MCR and the NHS.
The venue has been closed since 19th March, due to COVID-19 restrictions, and now the sleeping beast is ready to gently reawaken with the re-opening of the in-haus bakery and the pouring of some of its most popular beers. In partnership with Budvar, Pilsner Urquell, Pernod Ricard, Amato Foods, Diagram Design, PAWS flms, Cave Direct, We Are Indigo and Rokit Drinks with all proceeds for POP UP SCHLOSS will be donated to Eat Well MCR.
Pop-up Schloss will operate between 8am and 4pm on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May and customers are encouraged to pre-book orders and a collection slot from a menu that ranges from freshly baked Sourdough and Pretzels to weekend party packages including Rainbow Cronuts and Espresso Martini’s.
Director Neil Macleod said: “We wanted to raise some money and support the great work Eat Well MCR are doing, and at the same time bring some of our customers favourite produce to our pop up shop for them to enjoy at home.
“It is best to pre-order from our menu and pre book a slot as not to be disappointed, as when it is gone it is gone, also expect some surprises, Schloss style, in our socially distanced queuing system.”
Eat Well MCR is a hospitality collective, initially formed in response to the UK food crisis worsened by the rapid spread of Covid-19. They are a collective of Manchester chefs, food & drink providers and volunteers lovingly prepare and deliver 1,850 meals weekly to front line NHS workers, families with children in hospital, people living with food poverty, women with children seeking refuge and people that are homeless.
