Traditionally speaking, tapas is designed to go with a few drinks at a bar as to keep those Estrella-induced hunger pangs at bay. The word ‘tapa’ translates to cover or lid- which refers to something to pop over the rim of your glass to stop flies from getting in. True story.
The human race has been enjoying tapas since the early 19th century, and we love it so much that we have put aside an entire day to show tapas how much we care.
