The Chorlton Green may be small, but it is perfectly formed. It is everything you need from your local bar including a fine selection of wines, craft beers, cocktails and food by Eat New York.

What’s even more exciting is, The Chorlton Green has launched some fantastic new bits including evening menu which boasts some delicious new dishes just waiting for you to get stuck into.

Sticking with what they do best – they have added a few new burgers and sandwiches to the menu to ease you in nicely.

The Chicken Club Sub (£12) is naughtily stacked with breaded buttermilk chicken, bacon, Swiss cheese, mustard mayo, salad and avocado and is everything you need from a sandwich and more.

The French Dip is already the stuff of legend at the NQ site, but the real winner for me was the New York Strip Steak Sandwich (£16.50).

This was a delicious sub roll stuffed with tender strips of pink steak coated in fragrant chimichurri with tomato, lettuce and avocado for a creamy finish. Succulent, juicy and full of flavour I never wanted it to end.

On top of these new sandwiches, The Chorlton Green has added two new salads to the menu which will be available all day. The first of these is a sublime Crab and Piquillo pepper salad (£12) with streaky bacon, red onion and chipotle Marie rose.

This is the perfect (healthier) alternative to their epic Crab Shack Bagel (£8.50) which you should definitely order too.

The Chorlton Green Salad (£12) is a fantastic choice too-, especially for veggies. It combines marinated aubergine, olives, tomatoes, leaves and cucumber with crispy corn cakes smothered in that tangy homemade chimichurri from the steak sandwich fame.  Fresh, light, flavourful and lightly spiced- I couldn’t get enough.

In addition to these dishes which will be available all day, in the evenings from 5 pm, The Chorlton Green has launched a few stunning brasserie-style dishes to delve into.

There is a sumptuous 12oz rib-eye steak (£24) on there, cooked to your liking, served with triple cooked chips (which are a nice change from their usual thin fries), field mushroom, blushed tomato, asparagus and peppercorn sauce. You really can’t go wrong.

The Pastrami Mac & Cheese (£12) was a stand out star. Their four cheese blend is poured over macaroni pasta and topped off with breadcrumbs more cheese, parsley and a whacking great big slice of their epic homemade pastrami– which is two weeks in the making!

Fish lovers will be obsessed with the seared seabass fillet (£12) which comes served with crushed new potatoes, asparagus and creamed pesto dressing. This was a hefty plate of food and I must say the fish was cooked to perfection with a crispy skin and soft, flaky texture. Top marks all around for this dish.

From a light lunch to a romantic meal for two with a bottle of fine wine – the Chorlton Green has you covered in every possible way.  I suggest you get down there before the week is out…
