The award-winning team at The Creameries are excited to unveil their shiny new Christmas present; a raclette machine, purchased from the fine people at The Courtyard Dairy in Settle. Already unwrapped and ready to go, it will form the centrepiece of a new Sunday menu.

Focused on the ingredients that are at the heart of The Creameries’ offer for the rest of the week, Cheesy Sundays (a working title) will revolve around the finest local cheeses, fresh home-baked bread, craft ale and superb natural wines.

As well as raclette, there will be home-cured meats, whole-baked cheeses and pies served alongside homemade pickles and roast vegetables.

Honestly, this is every cheese-lover’s dream come true.

The Creameries menu is shaped by British seasons and traditions and change daily according to the produce available at the market. The mainstays are freshly baked pastries and breads, home-cured wild meats, homemade butter and cheese and local, seasonal fruit and vegetables.

They work hard to waste as little as possible – pickling and preserving everything they cannot use immediately. They also work with our suppliers to help them avoid waste by taking what they have available rather than ordering to fit a pre-determined menu.

Working towards a zero waste policy and focusing on using the freshest ingredients means our menus are ever changing. The Creameries were the winner of ‘Most Sustainable Restaurant’ (as well as ‘Best Newcomer’) at the MFDF awards last year.

What’s more, you can have lunch, stay all afternoon and partake in one of The Creameries’ workshops, gigs or events that will be taking place every Sunday night. Be it a bread making class or an open mic evening, all tastes are catered for.

Throughout the week, they are also offering children’s’ baking classes, adults’ cookery demos and arts and crafts club. They have also planned in special events to mark big occasions such as a Burns Night whisky tasting or a weird and wonderful celebration of St Trifon, the patron saint of drinking wine with friends!

See the full programme here, and email  bookings@thecreameries.co.uk with any queries, ideas or requests! The Creameries do take bookings but will always hold tables for walk-ins and drinkers.
