Escape to Freight Island is set to host a Festival of Football across winter to celebrate World Cup 2022 this November and December.
Housed across different areas and zones within the venue, the visionary food market will transform the platform inside into a huge fan and dedicated pub zone, which will be located in the tap room. Outside, in the covered and heated Plant Room, Festival of Football will host a family and children friendly zone.
Completely FREE to attend, all of the England games will be shown on the big screen in the Platform, as well as in the pub zone and family zone. In addition to this, other World Cup 2022 matches will also be screened in the pub zone throughout the venue.
More than live streaming, the event will present a series of festival-inspired events, including special Food and Drink offerings. In collaboration with Camden Town Brewery, there will be bookable tables with free flowing pints and more, alongside half-time entertainment including; musicians, a live brass band, and Escape to Freight Island’s resident performers.
Across the venue, Escape to Freight Island will also host pop-up shops selling vintage football memorabilia, and a series of interactive games, pub quizzes, and special guest appearances.
