Opening in May 2019, Dakota Manchester is set to bring luxury living to the heart of the city, becoming Manchester’s hottest hotel.
Dakota is a unique, award-winning UK boutique hotel brand founded by the internationally renowned hotelier, Ken McCulloch which offers innovative style and exceptional levels of service.
The Dakota hotel story began in Scotland and we’ve been over to their Glasgow site to brush up on what we can expect from this gorgeous new hotel.
In short, the very essence of what Dakota wants to bring is high levels of service at an affordable price in a stylish and sophisticated location. Dakota is developed for the independent thinking, discerning traveller as well as being the perfect backdrop to romantic weekends away and enjoyable evenings out.
Here are a few more acute things to expect from Dakota Manchester…
The Cigar Garden
Cigar enthusiasts can enjoy a Cuban or two on their purpose built cigar terrace. Nothing beats a quick puff on an evening when paired with a premium spirit like cognac or whiskey, and this space will bring a touch of old-school Mayfair to Manchester. If cigars aren’t for you, this terrace still makes the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail or two when then weather permits.
Contemporary
Dakota Manchester is purpose built which means the team behind it has had full freedom to make the design perfect. This hotel is set to be the tallest of the Dakota hotels thus far, which means it is going to have stunning views of the whole of the city over Ancoats and the NQ as well and the vibrant city centre.
The Champagne Room
Not only will Dakota Manchester be home to a chic-cocktail lounge, but it will also have an on-site opulent Champagne room, the perfect backdrop to your sophisticated night out. This space is purpose designed for those of us who appreciate the finer things in life, an extraordinary space for exceptional moments and is the perfect place to start off your night with a little bit of sparkle!
New York Vibes in Manchester
If you walk past the site right now (you’ll find it on Ducie Street just behind Piccadilly) you will see that the building has got a gorgeous New York style to it, with simple shapes, black brick and large loft windows. This design is signature to the Dakota brand, but I’ve got to say it is going to be a welcome change from the usual red brick that is signature here in Manchester and we cannot wait to see it in full!
Suites Galore
Dakota Manchester is set to be home to 137 beautiful bedrooms which will include 20 opulent suites. One of these, the Grand Deluxe Suite, is set to be the biggest Suite in the whole of Manchester. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, fully air-conditioned with high-speed internet, ensuite bathrooms, rain showers, bespoke toiletries and HD smart TV’s as standard.
The Grill
At the heart and soul of Dakota, alongside the rooms, bars and terrace will sit The Grill, a 104 cover Brasserie and bar, offering a sophisticated menu, staying true to the Dakota philosophy of the simple things done brilliantly. The Grill will be a welcome addition to the Manchester restaurant scene by listening to what the bountiful seasons have to offer with locally sourced products used where possible. The Bar has all the elements of a chic cocktail lounge serving classic cocktails. We can expect delicious, elegant food and drink as well as top-notch service for both hotel guests and local visitors. The vibrant main restaurant will be available for booking as well as various private dining spaces.
Comfort-led Design
Designed by internationally acclaimed designer Amanda Rosa, this Dakota hotel is going to be nothing other than sublime. Each room and indeed the communal spaces are set to have a timeless feel with a style that lasts rather than succumbing to fashion trends which fade. Dakota Manchester will be dark and cosy which is aimed at making the single traveller feel special and safe whilst still managing to be luxurious and elegant in every detail.
