Kicking off this Tuesday 9th August, Factory Coffee is set to serve the ultimate summer pick me up in the form of affogatos, using Factory Coffee’s award winning bean blend and incredible homemade clotted cream ice cream from Cheshire’s multiple award-winning Rogue Ice Cream.
From 1pm – 2pm on the 9th August, the coffee shop will celebrate the launch by giving away FREE Factory rum affogatos or regular non-alcoholic affogatos! The weather is looking like it’s going to be absolutely cracking, too, so we can’t really think of a better way to cool down.
Providing the frozen element, Rogue is an Artisan ice cream company launched by founder Ruben Porto back in 2011. He sold his first scoop at a pop-up event at Oxford Brookes University and, since then, has made serving ice-cream his full time profession – sharing his incredible clotted cream creations at weddings, luxury events and artisan food markets.
Factory Coffee’s unique blend, which is roasted by the award winning North Star Coffee Roasters, is well balanced and beautifully sweet with smooth and rounded notes of toasted nuts, caramel, stone fruit and milk chocolate – making a great partner for Rogue’s ice cream.
For the boozy affogatos, the ice cream will be combined with Factory Coffee rum, a unique coffee liqueur rum produced as a collaboration between the coffee shop and Witch Kings Rum.
It’s well balanced and beautifully sweet, bringing together a mix of components from the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais (in the Cerrado), the Jinotega region in northern Nicaragua and the birthplace of coffee itself, Ethiopia.
The affogatos will be available throughout summer from Factory Coffees kiosk at the side of Dooley & Rostron.
