Set to open its doors on Friday 25th January, The Counter House is set to take the 2019 health craze by storm. Focusing on health food, this restaurant aims to serve comforting dishes full of delicious and nutritious ingredients set in a warm and welcoming neighbourhood atmosphere.
The space features an open kitchen, a 62 cover restaurant and a bar overseen by head chef Jan Cron in the 2,000 square foot space.
The furniture is focused around recycled and reclaimed furnishings and textiles, which creates an organic feeling to the surroundings and a relaxed ambience. The exposed brickwork is juxtaposed with lots of plant life which gives The Counter House that ‘urban jungle’ feel which is so in right now.
As for the food offering, The Counter House is open for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. Expect dishes such as Ricotta Pancakes with peanut butter, banana and maple syrup and Eggs Royale with white tea smoked salmon and Baked Avocado Wedges on the brunch menu, which is available on weekends between 9am and 5pm.
As for lunch and dinner, get stuck into the likes of Bone Broth Ramen with Carrot and Cumin Hummus and Fish Taco Buddha Bowls with Wild Rice, Coriander and Lime.
If you have a sweet tooth, look no further than Raw Chocolate Orange Bites, Coconut Yoghurt Cheesecake or the outrageously delicious Banana Bread (served warm) with Mocha Bean Ice Cream.
As for the drinks, The Counter House has created a menu which is equally nutritionally minded as the food menu. Choose from a variety of smoothies, wellness shots and cold-pressed juices with no refined sugar.
