The new site is located on Bridge Street and it’s hard to miss the impressive frontage clad in crystal mosaic colours inspired by the arts and craft movement which flourished in Manchester between 1880 and 1920.
Lucky for me I was their first customer through the door today greeted by their lovely gold insignia etched into the floor, marbled concrete walls, accents of blush pinks and neon lighting plus ceilings draped with plants.
There’s plenty of Instagrammable moments in here including a living plant wall, floating botanical raft, theatre kitchen and horseshoe shaped bar area.
Grindsmith have combined a fast turnaround bar service with a relaxed and comfortable lunch area. The menu has all your brunch needs covered including Full English and Vegan breakfasts, stacked buttermilk Pancakes with maple syrup, lunch-time Power Bowls and plenty of smashed avo!
They’re keeping things local with their coffee, which is roasted right here in Manchester in their very own dedicated Coffee Roastery and Laboratory. Grindsmith’s signature blend, Sixth Day, is showcased on the bar alongside a selection of single origin coffees.
This site has been designed with amazing service and experience in mind – Alongside their improved workflow at the bar and dedicated restaurant team, they have also created a market-first app that lets you order your drink and food from your phone, launching next week.
The ultimate aim is to speed up service so their team can focus on crafting the perfect coffee and brunch for every visitor!
