Taking place on Wednesday 5th September at 7pm, the evening will give you the opportunity to taste a range of 5 matched wines, expertly paired with a five-course tasting menu.
Guests will be presented each course (and wine) by an expert from Hallgarten Wines who will aim to explore the processes, tastes and flavours of Organic Wines.
An organic wine is one that is made from grapes that have been grown without the use of synthetic or artificial chemicals – typically herbicides and pesticides.
As with most organic products, it is said that the wine has more flavour and offers more nourishment than non-organic alternatives. It’s true that many sommeliers like to choose organic wines in restaurants because of the taste but also the fact that they tend to go well with food.
