Artisan bakery, Half Dozen Other, is set to open its first customer facing store in Manchester’s Red Bank neighbourhood. The bakery, part of the Pot Kettle Black Group, will offer a unique blend of classic and modern bakes, including sweet and savoury croissants, Danish pastries, and flavoured focaccias.

The bakery has signed a 10-year lease on a 4,500 sq. ft. premises at the Red Bank Arches with developer Far East Consortium (FEC). The Red Bank neighbourhood is part of the Victoria North regeneration program led by FEC, one of the largest urban renewal programs in the UK that will create 15,000 new homes over the next decade.
Along with Half Dozen Other, the Red Bank neighbourhood is home to local vendors such as The Sparrows, Foundation Coffee House, and Green Arches Brewery and Bar. FEC’s commercial strategy FOUND will bring more businesses to the area and provide a program of immersive events and unique experiences.

Jake Scott-Thrale, Asset Manager at FEC, said, “Half Dozen Other perfectly aligns with our approach of working with independent and entrepreneurial businesses to help people find and enjoy this emerging part of the city.”
Mark Flanagan of Half Dozen Other said, “We are excited to open our doors at Red Bank. This site is perfect for us, and we are eager to be a part of the vision for Red Bank and Victoria North.”
Customers visiting Half Dozen Other will be able to see the mixing, rolling, and shaping of their baked goods while enjoying classic and modern bakes.
