I really do wish I had the self-control, discipline and general stamina to do The Great Manchester Run. The only 10K I am even the slightest bit interested in would be ten Kit-Kats, in bed on a Sunday afternoon, so my hat really does go off to those that take part- especially if it for a good cause.
I bet there is nothing more satisfying after a 10K run than tucking into something delicious entirely guilt free. Think fried chicken sandwiches from Firebird Hope, deep-fried crab balls from Holy Crab, a steak sarnie and truffle fries from Well Hung or a cracking Yadda Yadda kebab. Yes Please.
The good news is that all these vendors at Hatch are offering 20% off to all Manchester Runners. All you have to do is show your medal when ordering food- it is as simple as that.
So, be good this weekend and look after your body, it is a temple after all, but the second you finish the run look no further than the mass consumption of calories at Hatch. Go on- you deserve it.
