Tib Street’s hidden gem and home to some of Manchester’s best food offerings over the past year, Alvarium, has announced a huge party next week with cheap drinks, free food and DJs all night long.
Taking place on Friday 18th November, guests can expect a completely free to attend party featuring £2 drinks (selected single spirit mixers, bottles of beer, small glasses of wine and selected cocktails), canapés of cheese and meats from 8pm and a local DJ spinning records from 7pm – 1am.
The bar has made quite the name for itself over the past few years, serving as not only a space to enjoy a well-earned after work tipple, but to sample some of the city’s finest independent food pop-ups.
It’s seen the likes of Lazy Tony’s Lasagneria, Black Leaf and Abeja all make the move into its intimate basement restaurant, each sharing delightfully different dishes with the surrounding folk of Northern Quarter.
Alvarium also offers an excellent Friday happy hour deal, that runs from 4pm – 1am. This will get you two for £5 bottles of Mahou, £20 bottles of Prosecco, £12.50 wine and two for £10 cocktails.
The party next week is set to celebrate everything the bar is known and loved for; excellent drink deals, a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and a proper good knees up!
Alvarium has also recently launched a Crowdfunder after a difficult couple of years for the bar due to the COVID pandemic. Taking to Instagram, the owners said: “During this time, we have had to make some very difficult decisions to try and survive. However, the owners of the building are trying to close any possible avenue open to us to generate extra revenue to get Alvarium flourishing again, leaving us feeling very lost.
“We love Alvarium and we hope you do too, therefore we’re asking for your help.” Those who donate to the Crowdfunder will be entered into a prize draw in which one winner will receive a £3,000 bar tab to be redeemed in Alvarium, and a luxury stay right on the border of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales
