If you’ve ever passed through the Arndale or Warrington markets and grabbed yourself a Wholesome Junkies, you’ll know how good these guys are at vegan food.
At their compact but very cheerful kiosks, you’re always greeted with a beaming smile and a selection of unique vegan dishes that put their own spin on some famous carnivore fast food options.
From 100% vegan Salt and Pepper Prawns to award-winning stacked burgers and Chikn n Waffles, the restaurant has grown to be a must-visit destination for vegans of Manchester and beyond. And, now, it has announced that it has finally found a new restaurant location after years of searching for the perfect place.
Taking to Instagram, the restaurant said: “NEW RESTAURANT LOCATION REVEALED…. It’s in our hometown Manchester!
“After years of heartbreak searching for the perfect space, we’ve finally got our own place to call home. Follow our journey as we take these next few months to make it into a Wholesome Junkies Restaurant!
“We will be launching a Kickstarter in the next few weeks to help us complete the restaurant and we will need all the help we can get. There’s lots more details to follow, so stay tuned and come along on our journey with us. WE LOVE YOU, spread the news!”
The new restaurant will be situated at Unit 4, Mirabel St just a stone’s throw away from Victoria Station. It’ll be different to their spaces in the Arndale and Warrington market as you’ll now be able to sit and enjoy a meal in a restaurant setting.
With the business beginning five years ago, this feels like the perfect next step for Founder Chelsea and her dedicated team of plant pioneers!
For the moment, Wholesome Junkies will still be operating out of its Arndale and Warrington market locations, so if you’re still yet to cure a hangover with some of the best vegan junk food Manchester has to offer – make sure you pop down and pay the lovely team a visit.
