From Friday 28th September to Sunday 30th September, Upper Campfield Market will be transformed into an extraordinary Mancunian Kingdom of Gin (a ‘gin-dom’ if you will) with dozens of gin brands sampling some of the best, most exciting and bespoke gins around.

Attendees can sip their way around the festival, trying spectacular gins, enjoying gin cocktails and learning about the botanical spirit at this brand-new festival dedicated to the nation’s favourite tipple.

There are four sessions across the three days. Tickets to these sessions include entry to the festival, a programme, a commemorative glass, gin sampling from dozens of distilleries, plus entry to gin masterclasses and workshops.

Visitors to the event will be armed with a tasting glass, with which they will be able to taste their way around all of the gins on offer direct from some of the best gin brands in the world. This is a chance to talk to the exhibitors and explore the different gin styles, flavours and production methods face to face with the experts. All the gins sampled will be available to buy from the festival shop.

Exhibitors at the MFDF Gin Fest include Bathtub Gin, Lakes Gin, Unicorn Tears Gin Liqueur and Whittaker’s London Dry Gin – with many more to be announced over the coming weeks.

The festival programme includes a range of events, masterclasses and workshops to teach visitors about gin – from its botanical beginnings to the perfect mixers and garnishes. Festival-goers can learn from the experts at ‘Meet the Maker’ events for example, hosted by master distillers Desmond Payne MBE (Beefeater) and Charles Maxwell (Thames Distillery).

Visitors can also become a cocktail mixing pro at mixology masterclasses, or if you’d like to leave the mixing to the professionals, there’ll be exquisite gin cocktails served at the on-site cocktail bar.

There will even be the opportunity to create your own, bespoke gin at special workshops, where visitors can choose the botanicals and flavourings to craft their very own, one of a kind, perfect gin.

Cocktail lover, seasoned gin connoisseur or total newbie, there’s something for everyone at the MFDF Gin Festival.

Early bird tickets are first come first served and cost £22.50 or 2 for £40 for the 3-hour session on Friday and for the 4-hour sessions on Saturday and Sunday cost £25, or 2 for £45.

Taster Tickets cost £15 and allow access to the festival for 2 hours – available for the daytime sessions only.
