BQ Farm and Fish has announced an exclusive Supper Club with a focus on dishes from the ‘Farm’ this Saturday.
Taking over the space, guest chef Jimmy Carr has curated a tasting menu taking inspiration from Farm & Fish’s butcher counter, celebrating local agriculture and showcasing the best of the British countryside.
Carefully selected wine flights will be available on the evening, put together by wine aficionado, Charlotte Roberts who has selected premium bottles to pair with each dish, alongside other drink options.
There’ll also be an optional cheese course, which will include a selection of cheeses from Mellis Cheese.
Farm & Fish’s supper clubs are always a relaxed affair and have become a must visit for foodies passionate about sustainable, locally sourced produce. The Monton store opened back in March and hosts an artisan butchers, fishmongers and a tasting room where regular supper clubs and tasting evenings are held.
It prides itself on aiming to focus on sourcing from the best producers across the UK, with BQ Farm and Fish maintaining this principle throughout the shop.
You’ll find loads of amazing products from independent, local businesses filling the shelves. For example, the fish counter has high-quality fish that has been sustainably line-caught off the British coast. It’s so fresh that it’s delivered from the sea straight to the counter by the following day.
This Saturday’s menu will start off with a Merguez Hotdog appetiser, before diving into the starter, which consists of Tartare and Smoked Duck Yolk topped with a Sourdough Crisp.
The main attraction is a 56 Dry Aged Rolled Sirloin, served with bubble and squeak, seasonal vegetables and an accompanying Jus, and the evening will end with a Tomato-based dessert with Strawberry and Fig.
Tickets to the event are still available to buy at £70 per person, with the event starting at 7pm this Saturday. Farm & Fish’s Supper Clubs are known to sell-out, so if you’re interested in attending make sure you book in ASAP.
