Taking influence from the North of Thailand, where cuisine favours street food-style barbecue dining, Neon Tiger has already brought bold new flavours to its Bridge Street restaurant.
Launching this Sunday, the eatery has introduced a brand-new seasonal six-course tasting menu that features an array of dishes using expert cooking techniques and exclusive meats, for just £19 per person.
Making up the list of new Thai-inspired plates are; Thai Prawn Crackers, Seasonal Oysters, Chicken and Mushroom Skewers, Chang Mai Smoked Sausage, on the bone Grilled Wing Rib Steak and a Shredded Vegetable Salad.
Using tricks and techniques to ensure Neon Tiger’s food is full of flavour, the chefs steam the chicken skewers at 63º – the ideal temperature to release the juices from the meat. The dish is then crisped on the grill to create the sweet and sticky fish sauce caramelised skin.
Taking pride in its ingredients, Taste Tradition also supplies the restaurant’s meat, and Neon Tiger is one of the only places outside of London that stocks and serves produce from the high-quality butcher.
Alongside its new tasting menu, Neon Tiger has launched a revamped cocktail menu that features three variations of the Bloody Mary.
The ultimate hangover cure, diners can choose between a Classic Bloody Mary (£8), Green Tomato Bloody Mary (£8.50) and a Spicy Thai Bloody Mary (£8.50), alongside an Espresso Martini (£9), Corpse Reviver No.2 (£11) and a Mimosa (£9).
Neon Tiger uses green tomatillo tomatoes imported from Mexico in its Green Tomato Bloody Mary, unleashing an astonishing depth of flavour, entering the cocktail into a new era.
If diners are looking to end the afternoon of indulgence with a dessert, a Batard ‘Pie of the Tiger’ can be added to the meal for an extra £6.50 – a Thai tea custard pie with an ube milk crumb and cocoa crust.
The tasting menu costs £19 per person and can only be booked on a Sunday. Minimum 2 people.
