Shuffleboarders assemble… a huge new gaming space is coming to Manchester where as many as 150 players will be able to face off all at once.

Electric Shuffle is from the team behind the darts bar Flight Club, and will be opening on Deansgate later this month, combining the hit bar sport with cocktails, sharing dishes and pizza.

Inside, the decor is a mix of industrial and art deco styles spread over 11,000 sq ft of space, with 15 shuffleboard play spaces and capacity for 450 people.

The hi-tech new facilities will be like nothing else in Manchester.

Electric Shuffle’s shuffleboards will use state-of-the-art vision technology to track and score every shuffleboard puck, will be able to capture players’ best moments with live shareable replays, and can integrate between 32 and as many as 150 players at once for larger scale events.

There are also immersive shuffleboard games-within-games too, where players have to use certain zones and targets to their advantage.

As well as games, there will be sourdough pizza and small plates coming from the kitchen, alongside signature and frozen cocktails.

They’ll also be offering bottomless brunch deals on a weekend, with gaming packages and DJs providing tunes all day.

CEO Steve Moore, who co-founded Flight Club and Electric Shuffle with Paul Barham, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to bring Electric Shuffle to Manchester. We have loved our time in Manchester so far and the welcome that Flight Club has received over the past five years has been incredible.

“We look forward to helping create more memories to last a lifetime at Electric Shuffle. From couples’ date nights to corporate events and everything in between, Electric Shuffle is a place that is built for friends by friends, and we can’t wait to show everyone in Manchester what we’ve been working on.”

The first Electric Shuffle venue opened in London in 2019, and there are now five venues spread across the UK and the US.

Flight Club, owned by the same company Red Engine, opened on King Street in Manchester in 2018.

Electric Shuffle will open on 21 June.
