That’s right, in a move that will likely not shock anyone, The Bay Horse Tavern have pulled it out of the bag once more and decided to offer a full Turkey Dinner (with all the trimmings) (£15) on their menu throughout December.
That means that you can pop in on a Tuesday and have one with a pint. It means that you can go in on a Wednesday evening with your dad and have one while he has a pie. You can even go in on a Friday for lunch to get yourself ready for the weekend.
You get the idea.
The dinner itself is fantastic, coming loaded with thick slices of roast turkey, roasted parsnips, carrots, roast potatoes and a massive Yorkshire pudding on top with a couple of pigs in blankets inside. Drench the whole thing in gravy and you’ve just won the lottery of life.
But that’s not all. Oh no. The team at The Bay Horse Tavern have also added a couple of extra Christmas treats to their menu – just to make you happy (and make themselves the best damn pub in the city).
First up there’s the Christmas Pie (£9.50) – which is exactly what you’d expect and just as brilliant. It’s a full Christmas Dinner (turkey, stuffing and cranberry) which is handily encased in a flaky puff pastry. Perfect.
Next up – the Christmas Sandwich (£10). Thick slices of bloomer filled with turkey, pigs in blankets and stuffing, topped with a bit of gravy and cranberry sauce. Perfect.
They’re also offering a Full Baked Camembert (£10) and Pigs in Blankets (£5) – once again available at any time of the day or night.
The Bay Horse Tavern has basically just become the best place to go this Christmas – and to make it even better – you’ll probably see me there. So say hello, or better yet, give me a Christmas present for being such a good boy this year.
