Each and every Wednesday at Electrik of Chorlton you can find some of the city’s best and brightest record collectors and crate diggers, who are invited down to play whatever they want in entirety with no mixing, headphones, scratching or beat juggling, it’s strictly just about the music.
From New Jersey but an honorary Manc (just about!), BC Camplight is the multi-instrumentalist who has worked with names such as The War On Drugs & Sharon Van Etten as well as penning 4 of his own albums, the most recent ‘Deportation Blues‘ being a firm fave & regular on the BBC Radio 6 Music selections.
With sounds on his albums that hark to sounds of garage style scuzz rock, Bowie, LCD Soundsystem, Beach Boys-esque harmonies, elements of glam rock & beyond… you should fully expect to be wowed by his musical selections.
Just like most One Deck’s there’s no guarantee of what they’ll play – just sit back and enjoy the music.
Each Wednesday also sees Electrik run their brilliant Pizza Giro night, where you can take advantage of non-stop pizza for 4 hours between 5pm and 9pm for just £5.
